Whether or not your financial organization has that one person in the office who handles all of your retirement and other tax-advantaged savings accounts, what happens when she’s on vacation or a client’s question about his Roth IRA conversion has you stumped? Don’t just Google it—you don’t know if you can trust the answers that might pop up online.

Not to worry. Ascensus offers multiple reference guides and technical manuals—both in print and electronic formats—that will support you and your staff as you navigate basic to complicated tax-advantaged savings account questions.

Updated to Incorporate Latest Changes

On January 1, 2020, the most comprehensive retirement reform bill in over a decade, the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act, became effective. Ascensus took immediate action to interpret the legislation and rolled out updated education content and technical resources for you, our clients, so that you would be better equipped to serve your own clients.

But the legislative changes in 2020 affecting the retirement savings industry didn’t stop there. Since March 2020, the IRS released two other significant pieces of legislation: The Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The IRS followed with additional guidance meant to provide relief for those affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We continue to regularly update our reference manuals and other educational material so you can feel confident in using our resources when passing critical new information along to your clients.

Whether you need to explain to a client who a “qualified individual” is for purposes of taking a coronavirus-related distribution or you just need to refresh your memory on the differences between a transfer and a rollover, our reference manuals supplement the training you’ve already gone through, helping to grow your knowledge as you apply these concepts within your business. We can answer your questions on our consulting lines and in our many webinars and course offerings, but sometimes you simply need the right answer—right at your fingertips. Our technical resources fit the bill.

The Right Amount of Information You Need

And we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to our reference manuals. We’ve customized our reference materials based on your needs. Our IRA Fact Book addresses the more common questions you may get, which are based on questions our consultants field each day on our consulting lines, in a user-friendly, question-and-answer format. Our Desktop Guides also offer the basics in a question-and-answer style, and subjects include health savings accounts (HSAs), Coverdell education savings accounts, owner-only 401(k) plans, SIMPLE IRA plans, and SEP plans.

For your more complex questions, or when you need to know the how and the why, our IRA and QRP Reference Services and IRA and HSA Compliance manuals provide more technical information.

Available in Print or Electronically
